Beck/Landolf/Rossy are presenting an original, undogmatic, melodically and emotionally authentic variety of modern Jazz. Theuncommon and challenging combination of instruments allows a great variety of colours and structures, ranging from chamber-music-like transparency to near orchestral density, and leaves enough space for spontaneous interplay. All three protagonistsassume the different roles of accompanist, soloist and rhythm-section and bring their acquired experiences as instrumentalists,band-leaders and composers to the group. The majority of the material was written by the band-members for this group, withsome rarely played pieces by Monk, Mingus and Weill added.
