 Austère programme basé sur la symbolique des nombres cher aux commentateurs de l’œuvre de Bach concocté par l'organiste Massimiliano Sanca pour ce premier volume de l'orgelwerke. Ce dernier revient d'ailleurs longuement dans sa présentation sur la nature profondément spirituelle, convergence de l'homme et du divin, de l’œuvre du cantor. Par-delà ces considérations, l'orgue convoqué ici est un humble instrument italien provincial à deux claviers et possédant une série de jeux plutôt modeste. On retrouve l'austérité et la modestie dans le jeu compassé de l'interprète. Le choral 'Allein Gott in der Höh sei Ehr' BWV 662 semble ne jamais finir. Idem pour les deux autres pièces basées sur le même choral. Même les Fugues, prises à des tempi mollassons (BWV 676 – 733) perdent de leur détente initiale. La Fantaisie BWV 537 évolue à vitesse d'escargot (Pas loin du déchiffrage). Quant à l'imposant Prélude et Fugue BWV 546, il s'étend ici sur un long quart d'heure (contre 11'46 avec Koopman), temps suffisamment long pour relâcher l'écoute en cours de route. Et ce n'est pas la maigre registration qui va racheter l'affaire. Pour ma part je n'investis pas dans un second volume. The compositions that have been selected for this first CD are pieces of different charachter: austere and severe nature works and works that describe the serenity and peace. The Prelude and Fugue BWV 546, Fantasy and Fugue BWV 537, Prelude and Fugue BWV 549, Chorale BWV 658,“represent”, through the music, suffering, pain and difficulties of humanity in a cosmic sense; on the other hand, the Chorales BWV 676 in the Trio and BWV 676 Manualiter, Chorale BWV 668, Fugue on the Magnificat BWV 733 are works that describe the serenity and peace of God’s kingdom with Mary, his mother, and the angels, as expressed in the Holy Scriptures. As a result in this recording everything converges, once again with the Bach music, into a profound union between human and divine nature, and in fact between Heaven and Earth. Massimiliano Sanca plays on the beautiful organ made by Ilic Colzani in 2007 for of the Sanctuary of the "Madonna of Mangher" in Vallio Terme (Brescia, Italy).
