The connection between singer-songwriter Andrea Janser and her new group ‘Mr. Lunatic’ has resulted in a fresh, musical lust for life and simply buzzes with excitement. For five days in the French Alps near Gap, the 5-piece group secluded themselves happily into recording their new album which reflects their own personalities and illustrates a new depth and a sense of heartbreak at the same time. The many facets of Ms. Jansers’ art are reflected in her self-penned compositions which have a sense of unity but cannot be boxed in any one category. These soul sounds take turns with the roots of Swing, melodies from the Balkans, rhythms from the 1920’s, South American melodies in 7/8 time, a big dose of R & B and a dash of Rock n’ Roll.
