Silver Whit Archives is the first CD release of Almut Kühne and Gebhard Ullmann. Their collaboration goes back to a artist in residency of Gebhard Ullmann in Willisau, Switzerland 2010. Gebhard Ullmann performs for the first time besides on tenor saxophone and bass clarinet using samplers and loopers thus multiplying himself. All this live and without overdubs.Almut Kühne sings. The talented young singer from Berlin works in different musical fields, she improvises, sings contemporary and classical music, Jazz, German Chansons and is member of several music-theatre productions. Silver White Archives presents a long suite, almost 50 minutes in length, was recorded in a small recording studio in Berlin-Friedrichshain and mixed by the legendary engineer Walter Quintus. The cover has been designed by the former artistic director of the Willisau Festival and award-winning designer Niklaus Troxler.
