The accordion voyage starts in the here and now and becomes a fascinating musical journey stretching over centuries. It seems paradoxical that especially the accordion – which had just been invented in 1848, the Year of Revolution – is able to divulge new secrets from our times to early Baroque. The point of departure is a series of short pieces written and played by Guy Klucevsek for Annie Proulx's novel "Accordion Crimes" and leads with Teodoro Anzellotti up to Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations and beyond. On our way we encounter Erik Satie, Johann Strauss, Richard Wagner, Franz Schubert, Domenico Scarlatti, and we are led back again to the sounds of our time. The "Accordion Time Voyage" reveals the music of the modern history from a totally new sound perspective.
