Anna d'Errico, piano

The pianist duo formed by Alfonso Alberti and Anna D'Errico was born in 2014, joining the forces of two artists who had followed up to that point a very similar artistic journey. Both had initiated an international solo career and both had been passionate about today's music, choosing a kind of repertoire that requires particular engagement and expertise as well as often opening up to collaboration with authors. Alberti has proposed music by authors such as Giacinto Scelsi, Niccolò Castiglioni, Giuseppe Sinopoli. D'Errico has collaborated with Helmut Lachenmann, Salvatore Sciarrino, Enno Poppe, Georges Aperghis, Brian Ferneyhough, Beat Furrer, Rebecca Saunders, Heinz Holliger, Jörg Widmann, George Benjamin and Claudio Ambrosini. Alfonso Alberti is also active as an essayist, author of monographs on Niccolò Castiglioni, Claude Debussy and a famous pianist such as Vladimir Horowitz. Anna D'Errico was one of the founders of the Ensemble Interface and has been active in orchestral and chamber music by playing with such groups as the Ensemble Modern, Algorithm and Line. Together, Alfonso Alberti and Anna D'Errico have decided to address a vast repertoire that links the different epochs of music history and is carried out by memory, an unusual choice that favors dialogue and understanding among the interpreters, assuming absolute precision. On their first duo CD, they offers a significant choice of literature for two pianos of the 20th century, drawing on the masterpiece of the genre, the three pieces by György Ligeti, some of the most rare and unusual listening songs
