Born in Bern on 1924 Klaus Huber studies composition with Willy Burkhard in Zurich, with Boris Blacher in Berlin and violin with Stefi Geyer. He leads the composition class at the Academy of Music in Basel then the composers' class and becomes the Dean of the Institute for contemporary music at the Staatliche Hochschule fu¨r Musik in Freiburg. Klaus Huber's work embraces a very wide range of musical forms from Oratorio to chamber music, orchestral music to solo pieces. Klaus Huber has a vision of the musical praxis and theoretical reflexion as inseparable. His articles about art, the artist and society reveals him as an acute analyst andcritic. The widness and the singularity of his artistic line makes him as one of the most proeminent figure of the second half of the XXth Century.
