Cette maison de disques attire en premier lieu l’attention par son nom : Acte Préalable, l’œuvre démiurgique que Scriabine ne fit qu’esquisser, et qu’il voulait diriger au pied de l’Himalaya ! Programmatique ? Pas vraiment en ce qui concerne ce disque, au répertoire plutôt intimiste. Wladislaw Zelenski (1837-1921) composa essentiellement pour la voix : des mélodies tout au long de sa vie, quatre opéras, des oratorios. Récital partagé entre un ténor, Witold Wrona et une soprano Marta Trybulec. Lui, grande voix de tenor héroïque, avec toutefois une tendance à nasaliser, elle, timbre adamantin et jolis aigus instrumentaux. Au piano, Elzbieta Konopczak est une accompagnatrice précise et attentive, à défaut d’être vraiment inspirée. Difficile d’en dire plus, faute de traduction des textes, qui sont proposés en polonais uniquement. Difficile dans ces conditions d’apprécier l’interprétation des chanteurs. Wladyslaw Zelenski (1837–1921), born in Grodkowice near Kraków, is one of the most renown Polish composers from the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. He wrote 4 operas, 8 cantatas, almost 100 songs, numerous symphonic, chamber, choir, organ and piano pieces. One of the major outputs from this composer are the vocal works – operas, cantatas and songs. In terms of operas he continued the tradition established by Moniuszko. The most precious amongst all his works are the songs, musically of value, with unique melodic content, well developed harmony, and interesting elaborated piano accompaniments. These small masterpieces stand out due to the perfection of each composition, the richness of musical ideas, ideally complementing the vocal layer – and the piano’s part exceeds the usual boundaries of regular accompaniment.
