Juliusz Karcz (b. 1944) is a composer and teacher who has been working for more than 40 years at the Institute of Music in the Faculty of Arts of the University of Zielona Góra (earlier called the Institute of Music Education of the Pedagogical University in Zielona Góra). He studied in the Faculty of Music Education at the National College of Music in Wroclaw. After four years of working with the Lower Silesian Operetta he decided to begin composition studies, which he did under Professor Andrzej Koszewski in the Faculty of Composition, Conducting, and Theory of Music in the National College of Music in Poznan. In 1984 he received a doctorate in composition from the Academy of Music in Poznan, and in 1997 he received a higher doctoral degree from the Academy of Music in Kraków. In 2013 he became a professor... Katarzyna Kwiecien-Dlugosz (b. 1978), an honours graduate of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan, where she studied composition under Professor Miroslaw Bukowski. She also studied applied linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and completed postgraduate studies in film music, computer music, and audio-visual creation at Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Lódz. She has won prizes in composing competitions in Poland and abroad, including Reinl Preis 2003 (Austria), Suoni di fiaba (Italy), Alfredo Casella (Italy), Vera Passio (Warsaw)...
