Ensemble QuattroVoce was founded in 2011 by a group of professional singers who are associated with the cultural and musical milieu of the city of Bialystok (Poland). The four members of the Ensemble (Marta Wróblewska – soprano, Aleksandra Pawluczuk – alto, Przemyslaw Kummer – bass, and Pawel Pecuszok– tenor) have graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Bialystok where they studied solo singing and received their vocal diplomas with honours. The old and new Christmas carols presented on this artful EQV recording are quite representative for the variety of styles, from the early renaissance, throughout popular ancient canticles, up to the sophisticated scorings and arrangements from the 20th century. Thus, the versatility, musicality, expressiveness and passion of the four voices provide a great climate of the Christmas time. The listeners of the CD and music lovers would be impressed by the serenity, warmth and the optimism of the music, and also by the Ensemble’s interpretation done with style.
