Also for this recording of 1954 by Cetra we have done a carefull restoration, that gives the original beauty of the original recording, which have always been put down by the reprints of Cetra and Warner, that reproduced the grey dumps of the LP of Fifties. This cast of this Mefistofele, dominated by the extraordinary voice of Ferruccio Tagliavini, remains at the top of a small discography of this Opera that, in 1954 found a livel no more achieved, expecially thanks of italian singers and the equilibrium of Angelo Questa, that Gianandrea Gavazzeni saw as a point of reference.
